Aeoncademy is excited to have launched our Spring Vacation Program! Running from the 26th of September to the 6th of October, our program is sprouting with new creative ideas!
In our Creative Catalyst program these holidays we’re getting stuck in to some sweet upcycling in Spring Junk Sculpture, some beautiful botanical oil painting in Botanical Oils, and some great garden genius in Gnomania, and Garden Printmaking.
In Vala, some springtime opportunities for becoming great characters emerge in The Rise & Fall of Lord Bothwell, and the grand ministers of King Trisong Detsen must come together to discover The Elixir of Longevity.
Aeoncademy’s ethos of Education through Creativity is the center of all our programming. Check out the Spring Vacation Program after the jump!
Keep your Creative Spark burning at the Aeoncademy Open Day!
All day we’ll be helping you nurture your own Creative Spark, whether you’re a Preschooler or a Parent, or anything in between! All day we’ll have clay to play with, watercolours to paint with, a magnificent exhibition of students’ work, and enough drawing, crafternooning, making and more to keep all comers involved!
Tantalise your tastebuds with delicious food from Scrumpers Garden, who will provide a delicious lunch (gold coin donation) and is collaborating with our Sparks to put together some sweet treats throughout the day!
Speaking of lunch – at around lunchtime we’ll have a fabulous Vala Dramatic Adventure – and you’re invited to join in! Follow the story of the Knights of the Round Table and how the Sword in the Stone first came to be. With a bit of luck, and some chivalrous behaviour in the Grand Tourney, you might be the one who draws the Sword from the Stone!
We’ll also announce the winner of the Vala Contributor’s Prize and release our fantastic Aeondawn Magazine – both in collectors edition Print and Online!
And (of course) we will release our Winter Holiday Program!
Jam Packed with warm wintery visual arts and stories that take us from the Scottish Highlands to the Himalayas! Remember, all holiday bookings made on the day are $152 – a massive 20% off the full price!
So come and discover Aeoncademy, and meet the team, including the visionaries and directors of Aeoncademy Mathew Long and Teffany Thiedeman, as well as all our different educators, and learn all about Education through Creativity!
Turn your mind a-topsy turvy with a fabulous day in wonderland on the 24th of April as our Autumn Holiday Program extends!
In Creative Catalyst we’re running our fabulous Mad Hatters Tea Party, full of fun and vim and vigour – we’re going to make costume hats and go wild with a peek through the looking glass as we all sit down for a shared meal.
In Vala, we’re going tumbling down the rabbit hole and into a story of Jabberwocks and Tum-Tum birds as the Time Bandits go to Wonderland. Just watch out for Vermin at the Tea Party.
Our Sparks, as always, will get involved in a mega blend of both activities, making their own Mad Hats and getting involved in our dramatic adventure for the day.
Our January Programs are just around the corner and there are still spaces available!
We have some fantastic programs planned and combined with wet water play they will be an ideal way to spend a summers day. Our educators have been busy planning and preparing and are so excited that in just a few days you will be able to join in the fun.
In Creative Catalyst some old favourites return alongside some exciting new activities. You can pick and choose across days with several mediums on offer, clay, mixed materials, paper mache, painting & drawing, recycled and found objects all make an appearance throughout January. A summer favourite, Action Art will enable students to get active with their art experiences and explore using materials in new and exciting ways while getting messy. An old shirt soon becomes revitalised after spending a day putting the action into art!
In Vala the next chapter awaits. Old favourites beckon alongside new adventures. Encounter the Norse gods of Old in ‘Twilight of the Gods’, experience the life of an outcast in ‘Young Mutant Chronicles’and encounter the vastness of Space and the unknown in ‘Dawn of a New Horizon’. If you feel inspired use your experiences during the program to write, draw and create a contribution for our new quarterly, the Aeon Dawn magazine. The writer’s prize will be making a return.
Sparks are all set to enjoy both the art project and dramatic adventure on the days they come along. With new garden beds being established in the outside space they will also have more of an opportunity to engage with the environment and allow it to inspire their activities throughout the day.
If you are interested in any of our programs you can find out more through our website www.aeoncademy.com or by giving us a call.
