Welcome back to term! It’s always lovely to return to the After-school program, and term 3 is no exception!
In Creative Catalyst, we’re excited to have Dieter take the reins of a few classes (find out more here) as we launch into more amazing artistry with Printmaking – Into the Future and Alcoves, a fabulous ceramics project. Later on, we’ll be seeing the magic of Oils mixing with the beauty of botany in Botanical Oil Painting, and exploring the magnificence of charcoals in Big Grey Drawings.
In Vala’s Dramatic Adventure Program we’re really thrilled to launch into a new way of exploring our stories – with deeper three-week dives into some of our most popular stories – from the Young Mutant Chronicles, the Mountains of Tibet, and even the Bushveldt of South Africa – with a host of new features coming to bear in term 3 for good measure.
In Cornucopia, We’re all super excited to launch in with a scrumptious breakfast theme with Cereals and, the following week, Yoghurt Cultures. We’re all really excited to see what our soon-to-be wizards of the Kitchen Garden whip up!
In Sparks Creative Play, we’re discovering a new world of fantastic ways to creatively engage as we establish our own Audio centre, as well as exploring flavour and sensation with Cornucopia, and their crowd favourite engagements with Vala and Catalyst continue through term 3 as our Creative Program unrolls!
Aeoncademy is really excited to launch into Term 1 in 2017 with a fabulous series of workshops and modules from across our different programs.
In Creative Catalyst, we’re launching into a massive, multi-part series of Animal Panels – set to be displayed at the Canberra Show – to set the theme for this term. Throughout the first half of this term, we’re exploring critters, creatures, animals and beasties in all their fuzzy glory – from Kinetic Beasties to Large Dog Sculptures, we’re champing at the bit to get started!
In Vala we’re exploring the end of a series with such fantastic conclusions as Escape from Maracaibo and Rise of Rome, among some brand new stories such as The World of Oliver Twist‘s Burglers, Conspirators, and Spies. As we in Vala gear up for a big reveal (stay tuned for the Open Day – coming on the 4th of March) we’re really happy to be completing and concluding this season of dramatic adventures.
In Sparks, our Artistic Inspiration continues along the theme of Animals with great workshops like Furry Dog Sketches and Dogs, Domestic and Wild. For our feline friends we’re also doing Felines in Clay and we’re also exploring Bilbies and Bunnies as the term moves on. In World Cooking we’re exploring delightful dishes from all around the world, and we’re really whetting our appetite with Nasi Lemak from Malaysia, as well as getting our kitchen garden ready throughout the term! Lastly in our Dramatic Make Believes, our stories follow the Season Finales that Vala are exploring to bring the most exciting stories imaginable.
